Tasks that keep follow-ups moving
A customer reports a missing password-reset email. Create an investigation Task, link the Thread, add a checklist, and give the work an owner and due date. Track the internal work separately from the customer conversation, then return to the linked Thread when you are ready to follow up.
- Create standalone Tasks or link them to one or more Threads
- Track owners, due dates, priorities, and custom statuses
- Keep checklists, private attachments, and message evidence together
- Filter work by team, assignee, status, and due date
- Thread and Task statuses stay independent
Turn a customer report into accountable work
A missing password-reset email needs investigation beyond the first reply. Keep that work connected to the conversation without losing its owner or next step.
- 1
Create the follow-up
Create a Task and link the relevant Thread so the investigation has its customer context.
- 2
Make the work specific
Assign an owner, choose a due date and priority, and break the investigation into a checklist.
- 3
Close the loop
Track the Task’s progress, then return to the linked Thread with an update for the customer.
Internal work has its own lifecycle
Task status and Thread status are independent. Completing the investigation does not automatically resolve the customer conversation, and linking a record does not grant access to it.
