What are AI Credits?

AI credits are the unit of measurement for AI actions in Protodesk. One credit = one AI action. Triage, auto-resolve, and sidekick each consume one credit when they run. This makes AI costs predictable — no surprise bills based on usage spikes.

AI credits are like prepaid tokens for AI features. Your plan includes a monthly budget (300–3,000 credits). When the AI triages a ticket, attempts auto-resolve, or loads the sidekick, it spends one credit. Run out? AI pauses, but your inbox keeps working. Top up anytime.

What counts as a credit

  • Triage — 1 credit when a new ticket runs through AI labeling and routing.
  • Auto-resolve — 1 credit per attempt (even if the AI decides not to send).
  • Sidekick — 1 credit when an agent opens a thread and the sidekick loads.
